The Cougar Stars are requesting new performance poles and curtains to elevate the quality of our performances. These portable curtains travel with us to competitions and serve as the backdrop for our annual Spring Show, creating a polished, professional stage. They allow for seamless, show-stopping entrances and exits that enhance the visual impact of our routines, helping our team stand out and remain competitive while showcasing the excellence and creativity of our students.
The Cougar Stars Dance Team is requesting new performance poles and curtains to replace a set that has proudly served our team and campus for the past 15 years. Our current curtains have been carefully maintained and used with great pride, but after years of performances, travel, and campus events, they are reaching the point where replacement is needed.
The Cougar Stars are made up of 49 dedicated student-athletes who work throughout the year to improve their technique, teamwork, and performance abilities. In competitive dance, every detail matters. A professional backdrop and the ability to create impactful entrances and exits allow our dancers to tell a story, capture the attention of judges and audiences, and showcase the level of preparation and commitment they bring to every performance. New curtains and poles will allow our team to continue pushing the boundaries of what we can achieve and remain competitive at the highest level.
This project will directly impact our 49 dancers while also benefiting the greater Crosby ISD community. Our current curtains have become a shared resource across our district and have been used by Choir, Theatre, the CEF Distinguished Scholars Banquet, CES 5th Grade Promotion Ceremony, District Spelling Bee, CHS College Signing Day, and other campus events.
Replacing this equipment will provide our students and programs with a reliable, professional performance resource for years to come. This investment will not only enhance Cougar Stars performances but will continue to support school pride, student achievement, and events throughout our district.
