Young learners benefit from STEM-based activities because they learn best through hands-on exploration and play. These stations help build foundational skills while keeping students engaged and curious. It also promotes critical thinking, collaboration, and fine motor skills.

STEM based stations will help all students, including those with disabilities, explore their critical thinking skills. It builds their curiosity while strengthening core subjects such as math, science, and even reading. Some students do not have the ability to do so while at home due to low income and lack of resources. 

Higher level thinking is something that we must promote as educators. We want students to be able to make choices and to adapt as needed. Allowing students to explore through STEM based stations gives them an opportunity to learn from their mistakes and to develop a growth mindset. These skills will help with their academics as they apply it to what they learn in the classroom. Such as making inferences while reading, recognizing patterns in math, and being able to make hypothesis in science. This grant will help countless students, roughly 22-25 every year, and give students the chance to grow.
