The primary goal of this project is to enhance student achievement in reading and writing through the use of an interactive touch screen television. The specific objectives include: Increase Engagement: Utilize interactive lessons, games, and activities that encourage active participation and collaboration among students. Enhance Learning Outcomes: Provide personalized learning experiences that cater to various learning styles, promoting understanding and retention of reading and writing concepts. 
Cultivate Creativity: Encourage students to express themselves through creative writing exercises and digital storytelling, fostering a love for writing. Incorporate Technology Skills: Equip students with essential 21st-century skills, such as digital literacy and collaborative learning, which are vital for their future academic and career success.

Current educational research supports the integration of technology in classrooms, particularly in literacy education. Studies suggest that interactive learning environments improve student engagement and academic performance. As we move towards a digital future, equipping our students with the necessary skills is paramount. A growing body of evidence indicates that students who engage in technology-enhanced learning demonstrate higher levels of motivation, critical thinking, and collaborative skills—essential for success both in academics and in the workforce. this issue is not just timely; it is urgent. Our students are at a critical stage in their development, where foundational literacy skills must be established for future academic success. As educators, we have the responsibility to empower our students with the necessary tools and skills to thrive in an increasingly digital world. By investing in an interactive touch screen television, we can transform our 4th grade reading and writing classroom into an engaging, interactive learning environment that fosters a love for literacy and prepares our students for the future. In conclusion, the present state of our classroom demands immediate action. By addressing the academic challenges faced by our students, we can significantly improve their reading and writing skills, enhance their engagement, and offer them the comprehensive, technology-infused education they need and deserve. This project is a crucial step toward realizing that goal and creating a vibrant learning community that supports all students in reaching their full potential. The current smart boards in the classrooms are not working properly and will not benefit the students as it will with this newer technology.
