In our classroom, we are going to use technologies to support our students emotional and academic needs. We would utilize iPads and communication buttons to utilize communication and lessons for our students' success. We will use campus walkie talkies to give communication for the support staff to communicate while supporting our students around campus. We will also utilize sensory items to help students build their emotional regulation skills.
This grant will benefit self contained students with special needs who have emotional regulation, social, and academic needs. We will be able to support our students participating with their peers.
With utilizing ipads for our classroom, we will be able to support our students communications, data collection for tracking student learning, and be able to make more entertaining engagement in the classroom. The sensory items - such as a weighted vest - would help students learn to regulate their body.
