Empower Math Learning Through Hands-On Discovery - Dianna Salinas Image
My project consist of Math hands-on learning resources to enrich my students' educational experience. Items such as real life cash register, skill building games to make learning math fun and smooth. Math games will provide interactive and engaging opportunities, fostering creativity and critical thinking for my students.

My goal is to create an immersive learning environment where students can explore concepts actively, enhancing their understanding and retention. Teaching math TEKS last year I noticed a gap in many students this is why I feel the need to bring reinforcements to close the gaps and make it easier for students to grasp the TEKS needed for future grade levels.

My goal for this project is to create a powerful and interactive learning environment where students can explore math concepts in a real and meaningful way. By providing math manipulatives into the curriculum, my goal is to promote a love for learning, build confidence in math skills, and enrich critical thinking and problem-solving abilities among my students. What makes my students special is their diverse backgrounds, unique perspectives, and determination for learning. They are determined individuals who welcome challenges and demonstrate a strong dedication to their education. By providing them with the necessary tools and resources, such as math manipulatives, I believe they will succeed academically and accomplish their full potential. My project consists of a variety of math games such as grab and play where students master addition facts in an adventure through outer space, match up shapes to their names and attributes in a memory-style game as well as race to collect coins that total a dollar. My project also consists of a real life play ATM and cash register. The built-in calculator and digital display let kids add, subtract, multiply and divide as they ring up pretend purchases. The cash drawer even pops open so children can figure out the correct change. On the ATM machine students can deposit and withdraw cash—even set savings goals and track their progress. Learning real-life money skills has never been such a blast. Making a real-life connection is important because they are skills they will need to know in the future. I will use these math games after individual work has been completed and turned in. My plan is to give students an opportunity to spiral in skills every week using the math interactive games.
