Our intention is to have more flexible seating to empower students of their learning. Comfort and fun DO matter in a learning environment. Giving students alternative seating options can also encourage them to want to come to school daily!

We'd like to improve our classroom seating options to enhance students' engagement and motivation. By exploring different seating arrangements, we can better support our students and create a more engaging classroom experience. As educators, we know that distractions are all around us, and requiring students to sit still in the same chair throughout the day can sometimes lead to a loss of their attention. Providing alternative seating options in the classroom could potentially increase their motivation to learn and create a more conducive learning environment. 

Students will be empowered by having control of their learning environment, to a certain extent. They will earn the privilege to use the flexible seating through proper behavior, academic performance, etc. Thus, motivating the students to work diligently in the classroom. This can foster collaboration and longer engagement. Group work and projects will be done on white boards while sitting on the floor, in the hall, or even outside when weather permits!
