According to recent studies, the average educator spends $700 of their own money on classroom supplies each year. One of the ways our campuses are able to help our educators is to help preserve their posters, classroom teaching aides and student work is with a laminating machine. Both of our laminating machines need to be replaced at the middle school and high school. We are asking for replacement laminators at both secondary campuses in order to provide this service for the staff and students.

The laminator is a staple machine at every campus. Currently the laminating machines at Crosby Middle and Crosby High School are in bad condition due to misuse and aging. We are asking for a new laminating machine for both campuses. Teachers and coaches request the use of a laminator all year to help keep their classroom supplies, teaching aides, and sport related posters protected and last longer.

Having a laminator on each campus helps our staff in many ways. On the most basic level, teaching aids like anchor charts, posters, sport line ups and brackets along with other classroom materials need to have extra protection so that their use is prolonged. The laminator will stay in the library where the media specialist will be in charge of laminating materials and will ensure the maintenance of each machine.
