My grant request is to show students what networking looks like for their business and ways to be more involved in the community. I will be taking 4 students to the monthly Crosby-Huffman Chamber of Commerce luncheons and any volunteer opportunities that arise.
Nurturing Networking will do just that, nurture how to network. Students will be able to witness first hand how current business owners promote their business by being a member of a chamber of commerce and actively participate.
Two to three students will go on a field trip to the monthly chamber of commerce luncheons beginning in August and ending with May's luncheon. Students will volunteer at the Annual Golf Tournament fundraiser the Chamber holds every year in April. Students will gain insight on how to market and promote business, and how to be an outstanding citizen of the community.
