The purpose of this grant is to enhance special education students and vocational students in moving forward to independence. Students will gain skills that will help them beyond their high school careers in preparing them for independent living.

The needs of this project will address developing social skills, career readiness, and independent living. Crosby ISD is a Title 1 district, that services students of all socioeconomic backgrounds. 

Students will gain skills that will help them beyond their high school careers in preparing them for independent living. The activities that will implement with grant funds will be school business store, employment skills, and independent skills. This program will service 50 students. The project will improve, advance, or enrich student learning by preparing them for job skills and independent skills. This project support the district’s mission of personalizing learning by creating an environment that is conducive to individualized learning, we are able to build young adults that are prepared to actively engage as community partners.
